We can’t believe Q3 of the year is already behind us, and we are now in Q4 with the countdown to year-end and the festive season fast approaching, bringing with it the usual flurry of activity and excitement! Read on to find out what we’ve been up to in Q3…
OK compost HOME certification
As some of you might have seen, in September we announced that our transparent Plastic-free shrink sleeves, including printed transparent sleeves, have achieved OK compost HOME certification from TÜV AUSTRIA. We are proud to manufacture this product in Swansea and supply it to customers around the world. This certification creates new opportunities for us to support businesses looking for practical and independently verified packaging solutions.
Our MD, Emma Blackmore, said of the certification: “Achieving OK compost HOME certification is a significant milestone for us and for our Plastic-free shrink sleeves. We’re proud to manufacture this product in Swansea and supply it to customers around the world, supporting businesses that want packaging solutions with clear, independent environmental credentials.”
A proud and exciting moment for the Viscose team, and another step in supporting brands with practical and certified packaging options.

London Packaging Week 2026
We had a fantastic time at London Packaging Week on the 16th-17th of September!
A big thank you to everyone who visited our stand and took the time to speak with us.

Maclean foundation partnership
We’re pleased to have supported The Maclean Foundation with a donation of natural wood bartop closures for its next charity whisky release.
Founded by brothers Ewan, Jamie and Lachlan Maclean, the Foundation helps fund clean water projects in Madagascar. Its charity whisky releases play an important role in that fundraising, with every bottle sold helping to provide clean water for life.
Our natural wood bartop closures will be used as part of the next whisky release, helping to give the bottles a high quality, natural finish.

Summer Staff event
In July, we held our summer staff event with an evening of ten pin bowling followed by a meal.
A fun evening was enjoyed by all, with plenty of friendly competition along the way. The overall winner was Matthew Swain, and the winning group was Group 2, led by Stephen Armstrong, pictured below.
They each received a medal and gift card, along with some very important bragging rights over the rest of the team!
A lovely evening spent together outside of work.

ISO re-accreditation:
We’re delighted to share that we have successfully achieved reaccreditation for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
These certifications cover quality management, environmental management, and occupational health and safety. They reflect the standards we work to across the business, from how we manage our processes to how we support our people, customers and wider responsibilities.
A huge thank you to the whole Viscose team for the hard work, care and commitment they bring to the business every day.
Maintaining these standards takes consistent effort across every area of the business, and this reaccreditation reflects the expertise, pride and teamwork behind everything we do. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together.
